Hydaulic
System
The hydraulic
system has been designed to enable ease of operation with a simple sequence
of events. In operation, the oil pressure feeds into the flow control valve which has 12 incemental adjustments to vary the speed of operation. From the control valve, the oil flow enters the sequence valve and takes the easiest route to the side door. Once this is open, the first sequence valve opens and allows the slurry door to open. When the two slurry door rams botoom out, the pressure increases enough to open the second sequence valve which then diverts oil to the pushing door assistor ram and the main pushing door ram. For sequence valve operation and fault diagnosis, click here. During the spreading stage, the pushing door moves forward at a pre-determined speed according to the setting on the flow control valve. If at any stage, there is a 'dead spot' with no material contacting the flywheel, it is possible to by-pass the flow valve by pushing the boost button. This diverts the flow of oil away from the flow control valve and feeds the services direct which speeds up the operation instantly. Caution should be abserved here as excessive use of this could result in serious drive-line damage. |
