Procedure for fitting knife kit to Orbital flywheel
| 1. Raise Slurry
door into its operating position.
2. Disconnect the PTO shaft and machine from the tractor. 3. Remove Breaker from the side of the machine. This will be necessary to get access to the front and rear of the flywheel. Bolt on parts 4. In order
to fit the 3 flywheel blade holder assemblies (OS1210-58) it will be necessary
to remove 3 of the existing flywheel shredder blades (OS1210-39). See
Fig. 1 below. 5. Fit the first of Flywheel blade holders (OS1210-58) in place by clipping it under the tab “A” and secure it to the flywheel with the M16 x 130mm-bolt (700271). See Figs. 2 and 3. Working from the outside of the machine through the feed-out opening fit the nuts and washers to the bolts at the back of the flywheel. 6. Repeat point 5 for each of the 3 blade holders. 7. Unscrew and remove the M16 bolt and washer from the center of the spinner hub. 8. Using a pullers remove the original spinner disk assembly (OS1210-06). Retain the key for refitting. 9. Place
3 packing seal rings (OS1210-79) into the recess in the hub of the new
Spinner disk assembly with blades (OS1210-77) and lightly grease. Weld on parts 10
Weld the 3 Spinner blade assemblies (OS1210-76) to the flywheel center
disk as shown in Fig. 4. Ensure that the serrated edges of the blade are
facing in the direction of rotation. 11. Refit the breaker to the side of the machine. 12. Reconnect the machine and PTO shaft to the tractor. 13. Run the flywheel up to operating speed and check for possible faults. |
