Procedure for fitting additional sequence valve to Orbital hydraulic circuit
| 1. Run hydraulic
sequence so that the pushing door is fully retracted, the slurry door and
side door are in the closed positions.
2. Release hydraulic pressure and disconnect hoses from the tractor. 3. Disconnect the PTO shaft and machine from the tractor. 4. Working from under the machine, disconnect the side door ram hose from port A3 on the sequence valve block. Be prepared for some oil spillage. 5. Unscrew the 3/8” to 3/8” fitting and replace it with the 3/8” blank provided. 6. Disconnect the slurry door ram hose from port A4 on the sequence valve block and from the left side ram input port. 7. Unscrew the 3/8” to 3/8” fitting and replace it with the 3/8” blank provided. 8. Disconnect the slurry door ram hose from port A5 on the sequence valve block and from right side ram input port. 9. Connect the free end of the 550mm long hose provided to port A5. 10. The new sequence valve can be positioned as required and clamped to 2 of the existing hoses. 11. Connect the side door ram hose (from port A3) to port P1 on the new sequence valve. 12. Connect the 90-degree ends of the new 2300mm long hoses to the input ports of the slurry door rams and the straight ends to the T-adaptor from port C on the new sequence valve. 13. Fix any loose or sagging hoses in position using cable ties. 14. Reconnect machine to the tractor. Reconnect the hoses to the tractor spool valve. 15. Run hydraulic system and check connections for leaks. Adjusting new sequence valve 1. Since each machine will require different settings this will require trial and error. 2. Remove protective brass cover from valve. 3. Loosen lock nut. 4. Using a 5mm Allen key adjust the screw clockwise to increase the pressure available to open the side door or adjust the screw anti-clockwise to decrease the pressure available to open the door. 5. When correct setting is found tighten lock nut and
replace protective cover. |
